Welcome to Medueti, the application that connects the African diaspora around the world through a social network rich in services: communities, Afroshop, transfers, events, local services, and more.

The protection of your personal data is a priority for us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Medueti application (hereinafter “the Application”).

Social interactions (likes, shares, subscriptions)

Error and performance logs

d. Location data

Geographic position (if the user grants permission) → used to recommend nearby services and events.

e. Payment data

Transactions made via Google Play Billing

Amount, date, and type of subscription (Monthly, Annual)

⚠️ No bank card data is collected or stored by Medueti.

Medueti uses certain Android permissions to ensure its proper functioning:

com.android.vending.BILLING	Make payments via Google Play Billing.
VIBRATE	Vibrations for important notifications.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE	Keep certain functions (messaging, transfers) active.
READ_CONTACTS (if authorized)	Find or invite friends via the user's directory. No data is stored or shared without consent.

All permissions are optional and can be denied via Android settings without blocking basic access to the application.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Medueti may use analytical tools (Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics for Firebase, etc.) to understand usage behaviors and improve the service. These tools collect anonymized data. No personalized advertising is displayed without your consent.

8. User-Generated Content

Users can publish text, photos, videos, comments, and announcements. Medueti reserves the right to delete any content:

contrary to applicable laws,
hateful, discriminatory, violent, or pornographic,
or violating the privacy of others.

A reporting system and human moderation are in place.

9. Data Security and Protection

We apply the following measures:

Encryption of communications (HTTPS / TLS)
Password hashing
Storage on secure servers
Restricted access to authorized personnel only

In case of a data breach, users will be notified within a maximum legal period of 72 hours.

10. Data Retention

Data is kept:

As long as the user's account is active.
Up to 30 days after account deletion.
Some anonymized data may be kept for statistical purposes.

11. Account and Data Deletion

The user can at any time:

Delete their account from the application, or
Send a request to support@medueti.com.

Deletion results in the permanent erasure of all associated data (profiles, messages, publications) within 30 days.

12. Children and Minors

Medueti is intended exclusively for users aged 18 and over. No data from children is knowingly collected. Any detected minor's account will be immediately deleted.

13. Advertising and Monetization

The advertisements displayed in Medueti comply with Google and GDPR policies. In-app purchases (Premium, Pro, Business subscriptions) are processed only via Google Play Billing. No banking data is processed by Medueti.

14. Your Rights (GDPR / Data Protection)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have:
